The pass runs seven days a week with pool access from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, so you can arrive early for a quiet morning swim or roll in later for sunset. Buying the Day Pass online saves you 10 percent, and children are looked after too, with complimentary pool access for those under 6 and a 50 percent discount for children under 13.

Pool, beach club and facilities

The centrepiece of the day pass is the resort pool, framed by sun loungers where you can spread out, dry off and order drinks and food without leaving your spot. The Ocean Beach Club, known as OBC, is the social heart of the experience, and its Sand Court is where the ฿1,000 minimum spend is redeemed. Expect an easygoing poolside atmosphere during the day that shifts into something livelier as the afternoon goes on.

Entertainment is part of the draw. A resident DJ plays on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, layering music over the poolside setting as the light drops. On Wednesday and Saturday there is a fire show from 7:00 pm onwards, a nice reason to linger past sundown if you time your visit for the back end of the day. Food and drink is ordered at OBC, so you can graze through the afternoon rather than commit to one big meal, and the minimum spend is comfortably reached across a day of swimming, snacking and sundowners.

As a full resort, Pullman Phuket Karon also has restaurants, bars and wellness facilities on site, so there is plenty to fill the hours between dips. The pool and beach club sit within easy reach of the sand at Karon, one of the longer and less crowded beaches on the island, which makes it simple to combine a pool day with a walk along the shore.

Location and getting there

The resort is at 333 Patak Road in Karon, on the stretch of coast between Kata to the south and Patong to the north. Karon Beach itself is directly across from the resort, and the wider Karon area has a night market, restaurants and beach access all within a short distance. From Phuket International Airport the drive is usually around 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic, heading south down the west coast.

Getting around this part of Phuket is easiest by taxi, ride hailing app or a rented scooter, as public transport is limited. Patong is a short drive north for nightlife and shopping, while Kata and its beaches are close to the south. If you are already staying elsewhere in the Kata or Karon area, the resort is an easy hop, which makes the day pass a practical option for a change of scene without a long journey.
