Can I legally work remotely from Thailand on a tourist visa?
I work online for a company back home. Is it OK to keep doing that while here on a tourist entry, or do I need a different visa?

This is a grey area and rules do change, so treat this as general info, not legal advice. Working for a Thai employer needs a work permit. Purely remote work for an overseas company on a tourist entry has long sat in a grey zone. Since 2024 the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) was introduced aimed at remote workers and digital nomads for longer stays, which is worth looking into if you plan to stay a while. Check the official requirements or a reputable visa agent before relying on any of this.
