Getting around a building in Thai

Malls and hotels in Phuket are full of these, so the words are genuinely useful. This short teaches lif (ลิฟต์) lift or elevator, ban-dai (บันได) stairs, ban-dai leuuan (บันไดเลื่อน) escalator, and taang leuuan (ทางเลื่อน) a moving walkway.

Notice the neat pattern: leuuan (เลื่อน) means sliding or moving, so a moving staircase and a moving path share the word. Little patterns like this make new vocabulary click.

Knowing them helps you ask directions inside a big building or the airport. This short Thai reel runs through the ways to get up and around so you can navigate any mall, hotel or terminal in Thai.
