Enduro Riding a New Jungle Trail in Phuket (Honda CRF300L)
There is a whole other side to Phuket that you never see from the beach, and this video drops you straight into it. Enduro riding in Phuket means swapping the coast road for red-dirt trails, rubber plantations and steep jungle climbs, and on this ride the crew heads out to explore a brand new track that none of them had taken before. Filmed on 28 June 2026, it is a relaxed, real group ride: no staged jumps, no drone-heavy edit, just riders following a fresh line through the hills to see where it goes.
A new trail, found the fun way
The premise is simple and it is the best kind. Mark, the newest face in the group and riding a grey Honda CRF300L, reckoned he knew a trail the others had never ridden, so the crew followed him out to find it. That sense of discovery runs through the whole clip. You get the little hesitations at junctions, the quick decisions about which way looks rideable, and the payoff when a promising-looking gap opens into a proper section of trail. If you have ever ridden somewhere new with mates, it will feel instantly familiar.
Not everything goes to plan, which is part of the charm. Tyvon never managed to get his Kawasaki started, so the ride went ahead without him, a reminder that half of enduro is just getting the bike running and the other half is keeping momentum once you do.
The bikes and the crew
This is small-capacity enduro, the sweet spot for Phuket's tight and technical terrain. Mark is on the grey CRF300L, JD is aboard Charlie's CRF250L, and Nicola, filming and narrating, rides the red CRF300L. The Honda CRF250L and CRF300L are the workhorses of the island's off-road scene for good reason: light enough to throw around on loose climbs, torquey enough to lug up the steep stuff, and forgiving when a rut grabs the front wheel. Watching three of them work the same trail is a neat lesson in lines and momentum, since each rider picks the terrain slightly differently.
What the terrain is like
Expect the honest mix that makes riding here so good. There are loose, rocky climbs that reward commitment, rutted descents where you let the bike do the work, and the greener, softer sections that Phuket's interior serves up between the plantations. Late June sits at the start of the wetter months, so there is moisture in the ground and grip that comes and goes, exactly the conditions that turn a straightforward trail into something you have to read as you ride.
Why it is worth a watch
If you ride, this is reconnaissance. You can gauge the difficulty of Phuket enduro before you rent a bike, see how the group tackles a climb, and get a feel for how quickly the surface changes once you leave the tarmac. If you do not ride, it is a genuine window into the wilder Phuket, the ridgelines and jungle tracks sitting just behind the resorts.
