How to Say Drinks in Thai

Everyday drinks in Thai
A quick menu of drinks you will order all the time in Phuket. Water is nam (น้ำ), coffee is kaa fae (กาแฟ), tea is chaa (ชา) and milk is nom (นม). Put two together and milk tea becomes chaa nom (ชานม), while fruit juice is nam phon la maai (น้ำผลไม้).
Notice how nam, water, acts as a building block for so many drinks. Once you spot that pattern, a lot of the menu suddenly makes sense and you can guess new words.
These few sound simple but they cover most cafe and street cart orders. This short Thai reel says each one clearly so you can order your next drink in Thai instead of pointing at the picture.
