Overview

The Cassia Phuket day pass is one of the better value pool days in the Bang Tao and Laguna area. For THB 499 per adult, non-guests get the run of the swimming pools, access to Cassia Beach, the kids' club and play areas, free Wi-Fi and the co-working space, and the full price of the pass can then be spent on food and drinks at Vista Restaurant. In practice that makes the pass close to free if you were planning to eat lunch anyway, which is why it is popular with families and with remote workers who want a change from the usual cafe.

Cassia Phuket is a Banyan Group apartment-style hotel set on the lagoons inside Laguna Phuket, the large integrated resort between Bang Tao Beach and Cherngtalay. The hotel is built around lofts and suites with full kitchens, so the atmosphere is relaxed and family focused rather than formal. The day pass opens up the parts of the property that matter most for a day visit: the water, the play spaces and the restaurant.

What the Cassia Phuket Day Pass Includes

The official Cassia Phuket page lists the following inclusions for day pass holders:

  • Swimming pool access
  • Access to Cassia Beach
  • Kids' Club access
  • Children's play area
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Co-working space access
  • 100% of the pass price redeemable on food and beverages at Vista Restaurant

Pricing is simple. Adults pay THB 499, children aged 4 to 11 pay THB 299, and children under 4 enter free. The hotel describes the pass as available daily but does not publish set opening hours for day visitors, so it is worth confirming the time window when you book.

Because the pass value is credited back against food and drink at Vista Restaurant, the sensible approach is to plan lunch, snacks or an afternoon coffee there. The credit is tied to Vista Restaurant specifically, so it should not be assumed to cover the hotel's other outlets.

Pools, Beach and Facilities

Cassia calls its pool zone Cassia Splash. The main infinity pool connects to a kids' pool and to the separate Cassia2 pool, and the hotel runs a roaming vendor selling drinks and snacks around the water. The setting is lagoon side, with tropical planting and low-rise residential blocks rather than open sea views.

For a beach, Cassia lists a private beach among its facilities, and Bang Tao Beach is around 200 metres away across the lagoon. The hotel operates its own jetty boat to the beach, which it says runs from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 19:00. Ask at reception how the boat works for day pass holders on the day of your visit.

Families are well served. Play Play is the indoor kids' club with toys and activities, and there is an outdoor playground beside the pool. Adults who need to get some work done can use the Cassia co-working space, a social hub with Wi-Fi where digital nomads and longer stay guests tend to gather.

On the food side, Vista Restaurant is the hotel's all-day dining venue, serving breakfast through dinner with water views, international dishes, local comfort food, pastries and coffee. It also runs the "Container Kitchen" concept and a Mookata barbecue buffet on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Market23, the 24-hour cafe and convenience store, is on site for coffee and grab-and-go items, although the day pass credit is for Vista Restaurant.

Location and Getting There

Cassia Phuket is at 64-64/1 Moo 4, Cherngtalay, Thalang, inside Laguna Phuket. The hotel puts the airport about 17 kilometres away, roughly a 30 minute drive. Boat Avenue and Porto de Phuket, the two main dining and shopping hubs of Cherngtalay, are about 1.5 kilometres away, around five or six minutes by road. Patong is roughly 34 minutes south by car.

Within Laguna Phuket, the free Laguna shuttle stops at Cassia and links the hotel with the other Laguna resorts, restaurants, spas, the golf course and XANA Beach Club. If you are already staying elsewhere in Laguna, the shuttle is the easiest way to get there. From outside Laguna, a taxi or Grab is simplest, as the hotel is signposted from the main Laguna road.

Good to Know

  • Book ahead by email at eatanddrinkca-phuket@cassia.com. The hotel's general number is +66 76 356 999.
  • Bring swimwear and sun protection. Check whether towels are provided when you book, as the official page does not mention them.
  • The F&B credit applies at Vista Restaurant only.
  • Kids aged 4 to 11 pay THB 299 and still get the kids' club and play area, which makes the pass good value for families.
  • Prices and inclusions can change, so confirm the current details with the hotel before you travel.

Is the Cassia Phuket Day Pass Worth It?

For families and for anyone working remotely in the Bang Tao area, the Cassia Phuket day pass is hard to beat on value. You pay THB 499, spend THB 499 on lunch and drinks, and in return get a full day of pools, a kids' club, a play area, co-working and the option of a boat hop to the beach. It is less of a luxury beach club experience and more of a practical, relaxed resort day, which is exactly what many visitors to Laguna are looking for.
