The SOL Beach Lounge day pass at Irene Resort Koh Lipe is one of the very few ways a non-staying visitor can spend a full day at a resort pool on Thailand's southernmost holiday island. Branded the SOL Pass, it gives day guests access to the resort's beachfront pools, sun loungers and towels on Sunrise Beach, and every tier is built around a food and beverage credit, so most of what you pay comes back as lunch, snacks and drinks. Passes start at 1,500 THB, with the full amount returned as dining credit on the Standard tier.
Overview
Irene Resort sits on Sunrise Beach on the eastern side of Koh Lipe, the small island in Satun Province that lies inside the waters of Tarutao National Marine Park, close to the Malaysian border. The resort describes SOL Beach Lounge as a newly reimagined beachfront space, and it is pitched as a calm daycation rather than a loud party club: beanbag seating on the sand, shaded cabanas, loungers set around the pools facing the Andaman Sea, and a beach you can walk straight onto. Irene is part of a small group of Koh Lipe resorts that also includes Idyllic Concept Resort and Serendipity Resort, and it operates two properties on the same beach, Irene Pool Villa Resort and Irene Resort (Phase 2).
For travellers staying in simpler guesthouses or bungalows around Walking Street and Pattaya Beach, many of which have no pool at all, the SOL Pass is a practical way to get a pool, shade and a proper lounger for the afternoon without changing hotels.
What the SOL Beach Lounge Day Pass Includes
The resort lists four packages on its official SOL Beach Lounge page:
- Standard, 1,500 THB. Complete pool and facility access with a 1,500 THB dining credit, plus a towel and a lounge chair prepared for you.
- Exclusive, 2,000 THB. Full pool and resort access with 2,500 THB of dining credit, so you receive 500 THB more to spend than you pay. Towel and lounger included.
- Trio Pass, 3,600 THB. Three days of full pool and facility access with a 1,200 THB dining credit each day and towel service, aimed at visitors staying several nights elsewhere on the island.
- Romantic Escape, 7,900 THB per couple. A private boho style beachfront cabana with shaded daybeds for two, and 2,500 THB of dining credit per couple.
Credits can be used on drinks, snacks or meals at the resort's restaurants and bars. The page names the dining deck Tastes and the seaside snack outlet Toasted by the Sea, alongside the pool bar. The resort's brochure for the lounge is titled as a 2027 package, which suggests the offer is ongoing, but prices can change, so confirm the current rate when you book.
Facilities
The pass zones cover the beachfront pool with its swim up bar and stepping stone seating, loungers along the pool deck, shaded cabanas near the sand, and the dining decks. Direct beach access means you can move between the pool and the sea all day, and Sunrise Beach is known for clear, shallow water and views across to the neighbouring islands of Koh Adang and Koh Rawi.
Beyond the lounge, Irene Resort has its own spa offering Thai massage and aromatherapy treatments, a fitness centre with Technogym equipment, and Boketto, its beachfront restaurant serving Mediterranean and Asian dishes. Spa treatments are booked and charged separately from the SOL Pass, and the dining credit is the only food and drink included.
Location and Getting There
The resort is on Sunrise Beach, in Moo 7, Tambon Ko Sarai, Mueang Satun. Most visitors already on Koh Lipe reach it on foot or by motor trishaw, which the resort says takes around five minutes from the main landing points. Getting to the island itself means a van from Hat Yai International Airport to Pak Bara Pier in Satun (about 1.5 hours) followed by a speedboat of 1.5 to 2 hours. In the high season, roughly November to April, ferries and speedboats also run from Phuket and from Saladan Pier on Koh Lanta.
How to Book
Reservations are requested through the form on the SOL Beach Lounge page, which asks for your name, email, number of guests, preferred date and arrival time. The resort also lists a WhatsApp and phone contact for day pass enquiries (+66 61 899 4499), an email address (boketto@ireneresort.com) and the LINE ID @ireneresort. Booking ahead is sensible in peak months, when loungers and cabanas are limited.
Good to Know About the Irene Resort Koh Lipe Day Pass
- Day pass hours are daily from 11:00 to 18:00.
- The Standard pass is effectively fully redeemable, since the 1,500 THB price returns as 1,500 THB of dining credit.
- The Exclusive tier gives the best value if you plan to eat and drink well, with 2,500 THB of credit for 2,000 THB.
- The page does not publish a separate child rate or a policy on children, so families should ask when booking.
- Koh Lipe is quieter in the green season from May to October, and some boat routes only run from November to April, which affects how easily day guests from other islands can reach the resort.
For anyone looking for a Koh Lipe pool day without a resort booking, the Irene Resort Koh Lipe day pass at SOL Beach Lounge is the clearest published option on the island, with prices, inclusions and hours stated openly on the resort's own website.
