The pass is for non-resident guests only and is available daily. Sunbeds are subject to availability on a first come, first served basis. Facilities

The saltwater pool sits where the gardens meet the sand, so swimmers can look straight out to the sea from the water. Beach sunbeds line the front of the property, with Chaweng's long, white beach on either side. The resort's restaurant is Marzano Pizzeria by the Beach, which serves Neapolitan-style pizza made with hand-stretched dough, along with a Southern Thai set menu and family combo sets. The pizza included in the day pass comes from the Marzano menu.

Marzano also runs a breakfast buffet for THB 295 per person and a daily happy hour with beer at THB 99 and cocktails at THB 179, according to the resort's website, so it is easy to stay on after the pool into the evening. The second-floor co-working area overlooks Chaweng Beach and is a useful option for remote workers who need a few hours online between swims.

The resort makes a point of its century-old trees, which shade much of the garden and give the property a greener, quieter feel than many of its neighbours on this busy stretch of Chaweng. The Southern Thai set at Marzano includes dishes such as turmeric-fried king mackerel, squid in black sauce and sour curry with prawns and coconut shoots, which makes a good alternative if you want something more substantial than the included pizza. Accommodation ranges from garden studios to one-bedroom chalets and pool-view suites.

Location and Getting There

Malibu Beach Resort Samui is at 15/2 Moo 2, Chaweng Beach, Bophut, Koh Samui, in the heart of Chaweng and directly opposite Central Samui. The resort says Samui International Airport is about 10 minutes away by car, Big Buddha about 15 minutes, and Fisherman's Village a short drive to the north. Being in central Chaweng, it is within walking distance of many hotels, shops, restaurants and bars, and taxis and ride-hailing cars are easy to find nearby.

Good to Know

Bring your own towel or ask at reception about towels, as the offer page does not mention them. Chaweng is the island's busiest beach, so expect more activity than on the north coast.
