Overview

The Mojo Spa and Retreat day pass costs THB 490 and gives you all-day use of the shared wellness facilities at this lakeside day spa in the hills behind Hua Hin. That covers traditional hot stone saunas, an infrared sauna, a steam room, three ice baths, a cold plunge, two small relaxing pools, a jacuzzi and a hot tub. Children aged 0 to 11 pay THB 290. For regular visitors there are multi-session passes and an unlimited monthly subscription, and the spa also sells a combined day pass and one-hour oil massage for THB 890.

Mojo describes itself as an eco-friendly day spa for everyone, set in a Balinese-inspired garden beside a lake in the Black Mountain area of Hin Lek Fai. Thatched salas, wooden barrel saunas and decks over the water give it the feel of a small retreat rather than a hotel spa, and it is aimed as much at local residents and expats looking for regular contrast therapy as at visitors on holiday.

What the Mojo Spa and Retreat Day Pass Includes

All prices on the official website are in Thai baht:

  • Day Pass: THB 490
  • Kids Day Pass (0 to 11 years): THB 290
  • Day Pass plus one-hour oil massage: THB 890
  • Day Pass, 10 sessions: THB 4,410
  • Day Pass, 30 sessions: THB 12,495
  • Day Pass, 50 sessions: THB 19,600
  • Day Pass, 70 sessions: THB 25,725
  • Day Pass, 100 sessions: THB 34,300
  • Unlimited Monthly Day Pass (subscription): THB 5,000

The day pass includes use of all shared facilities for the day. The spa lists hot stone saunas, an infrared sauna, a steam room, three ice baths, two relaxing small pools, a jacuzzi and a hot tub, so you can move between heat and cold at your own pace. The THB 890 package is promoted as a THB 200 saving on buying the day pass and a 60-minute oil massage separately.

Sound Healing and Yoga Sessions

Mojo also runs a Quantum Sound Healing and Chakra Yoga session combined with a full spa day pass for THB 1,500. The one-hour session takes place every Thursday and Sunday from 15:00 to 16:00 in the yoga sala by the lake, and you can use the saunas, ice baths and pools before or after. The spa asks guests to book this by phone.

Massage and Treatments

Massages can be added to a day at the spa. Prices listed on the website include Thai massage at THB 450 for 60 minutes, oil massage at THB 600 for 60 minutes, aloe vera or Thai and oil massage at THB 650 for 60 minutes, and aroma, hot oil or milky oil massages in an air-conditioned room at THB 700 for 60 minutes. Sport massage is THB 800 for 60 minutes, and herbal hot compress with Thai massage is THB 1,000 for 90 minutes. Body scrubs start at THB 600 for 30 minutes.

Cafe and Facilities

A small cafe and bar serves fruit shakes, smoothies, coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine, cocktails and light snacks, so you can spend a full day on site. The grounds are planted around the lake, with fountains, wooden decks and several open-sided salas for resting between rounds.

Location and Getting There

Mojo Spa and Retreat is at 783 Moo 7, Soi Mon Mai, Hin Lek Fai, in Hua Hin District, west of the town centre in the countryside towards Black Mountain. It is easiest to reach by car, scooter or taxi, as there is little public transport out in the hills. The spa has its own lakeside grounds, so it feels well away from the busy beach strip.

Who It Suits

The low price and the long list of hot and cold facilities make Mojo a good fit for people who use contrast therapy regularly, such as golfers, runners and gym-goers recovering from training, as well as couples and families looking for a quiet afternoon. The kids day pass means children can come along, and the relaxing pools are gentler than the ice baths for younger visitors.

Good to Know

Mojo is open from 10:00 to 21:00 and is closed on Mondays. The website asks guests to get in touch by phone on 091 872 1409 (Thai and English), by email at info@mojo-spa.com or through Facebook Messenger. Massages are best booked ahead, especially at weekends. Bring swimwear for the pools and ice baths. With prices this low for a full day of saunas, ice baths and pools, the Mojo Spa and Retreat day pass is one of the best-value wellness days in the Hua Hin area.
