Overview of Paradox Resort Phuket
Paradox Resort Phuket is a large five star beachfront resort set right at Karon Beach on Phuket's west coast. Formerly the Movenpick Resort & Spa Karon Beach Phuket, the property was rebranded as Paradox Resort Phuket and remains one of the biggest garden resorts in the area, spread across roughly 22 acres of lush tropical grounds, towering palms and beautifully landscaped gardens. With hundreds of rooms, suites and villas dotted throughout the greenery, plus a genuinely family focused mix of facilities, Paradox Resort Phuket suits couples, groups and, above all, families who want space, greenery and the beach on the doorstep.
The resort sits just across a quiet beachside road from the soft white sand of Karon Beach, one of the longest and least crowded beaches on the island. That combination of a huge garden setting, direct beach access and a full spread of pools, dining and wellness makes it an easy pick for a relaxed tropical holiday.
The Day Pass
Paradox Resort Phuket runs a Day Pass so visitors staying elsewhere can enjoy the grounds for the day. Entry is THB 1,200 net per adult and THB 600 net per child aged 5 to 11, while children aged 0 to 4 go free (one free child per paying adult). The best part is the built in credit: each adult receives a THB 800 credit and each child aged 5 to 11 a THB 400 credit, redeemable for food and drinks at any of the resort's restaurants and bars, or towards spa and massage treatments. In practice a large share of the entry fee comes straight back to you as spending money.
The pass includes free access to the main pool, the kids' pool, the kids club, the fitness centre and the shower rooms, plus a complimentary pool towel (one per person), Wi-Fi and parking. It is available daily from 10:30 to 18:00 and is valid from now until 30 September 2026. A few things to note: children under 4 require a babysitting service at THB 400 per hour, loungers are first come first served, and appropriate fitness attire is required for the gym. The Day Pass is ideal for families who want a full day of pool time, splashing and a poolside lunch without booking a room.
Facilities & Grounds
The headline for families is water. The main pool includes a dedicated kids' pool and a water slide for endless splashing, and there are further pools across the resort. Beyond the water, Paradox Resort Phuket offers one of the larger kids clubs in the area, with a spacious play area, daily activities such as painting, drawing and yoga, a game zone and an outdoor playground, along with a babysitting service. Grown ups are well looked after too, with The Spa for massage and treatments and a fitness centre for anyone keeping to a routine.
Dining is spread across several venues, including Pacifica Restaurant, MINT Bar & Restaurant, Cafe Studio, the Kinnaree Bar and a Pool Bar, plus room service. All of this is wrapped inside 22 acres of mature tropical gardens, giving the resort a leafy, resort within a park feel, and the beach is only a short stroll away across the road.
Location & Getting There
Paradox Resort Phuket is at 509 Patak Road in Karon, on Phuket's popular west coast. It is roughly a two minute walk to the sand of Karon Beach, about a five minute drive to neighbouring Kata Beach and around 10 to 15 minutes to the nightlife and shopping of Patong. Phuket International Airport is approximately a 1 to 1.5 hour drive to the north, so most guests arrive by taxi or a pre booked airport transfer.
