Overview
The SAii Phi Phi Beach Pass is the simplest way to spend a full day at SAii Phi Phi Island Village without booking a room. The resort sits on its own 800-metre stretch of white sand in Loh Ba Gao Bay, on the quieter northeast side of Phi Phi Don, well away from the bars and ferry traffic of Tonsai village. For THB 1,500 net per person, day visitors get a reserved sunbed on the beach, free Wi-Fi and a savoury combo set for lunch, with access from 9:00 to 18:00. It is aimed at travellers staying elsewhere on Phi Phi, or passing through on a private boat, who want a calm beach with proper facilities for the day.
SAii Phi Phi Island Village is part of S Hotels and Resorts, the group behind SAii Laguna Phuket and SAii Lagoon Maldives. The resort is set in a coconut plantation with Thai-style bungalows, villas, a beachfront junior suite and a set of hillside pool villas. It is one of the larger resorts on the island and one of the few with a long, uncrowded beach directly in front of it.
What the Day Pass Includes
The pass is priced at THB 1,500 net per person, so the price already includes service charge and tax. According to the resort's own Beach Pass page, it covers:
- Access to a designated sunbed on the beach
- Free Wi-Fi
- One savoury combo set of your choice
- Use of the beach area from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The resort describes the experience as a leisurely day of sunbathing, sea breeze and a meal, all in one place. Walk-in guests are welcome. The check-in point for day visitors is Api Restaurant, the resort's main beachfront restaurant. Pool access is not listed as part of the Beach Pass, so anyone hoping to use the resort pools should ask the team directly before paying rather than assume it is included. Drinks beyond what comes with the combo set, spa treatments and water sports are charged separately.
Food and Drink
Api Restaurant and Bar is the natural base for a day pass visit. It looks out over the white sand of Loh Ba Gao Bay and serves dishes from Asia and further afield, with leisurely lunches and sunset drinks, sometimes with live music. The resort also runs bean / Co, a casual counter for pastries, sandwiches and gourmet coffee and tea, as well as Miss Olive Oyl for Mediterranean-inspired beachfront dining, Ruan Thai for classic Thai cooking and Mr. Tomyam for Thai dishes by the beach. Day visitors can order extra food and drinks at the outlets that are open, at normal menu prices.
Facilities Around the Resort
The beach itself is the main draw. It is long, soft and shaded in places by palms, and the water is calm enough for swimming and snorkelling for much of the year. The resort has two pools: the Fun Pool, with a waterslide and playground for children, and the Lazy Pool, a quieter spot for adults. There is a fully equipped gym with sea views, a tennis court, and the Marine Discovery Centre, which rents kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling gear for a fee and runs conservation programmes. SAii Spa, set in the Len Forest Spa building, offers massages and treatments for anyone who wants to add a session to the day. Treatments, rentals and activities are booked and paid for separately from the Beach Pass.
Location and Getting There
SAii Phi Phi Island Village is at 49 Moo 8, Ao Nang, Mueang Krabi, Krabi 81210, in Loh Ba Gao Bay on the northeast coast of Phi Phi Don. There are no roads to the resort from Tonsai, so the usual way in is by boat. Visitors coming from Tonsai Pier need to arrange a long-tail boat to the resort beach themselves, which most long-tail captains at the pier will do for a fare agreed in advance. Some visitors also arrive on private speedboat charters from Phuket or Krabi. The resort notes that in rough seas, particularly between October and February, boats may land at Loh Lana Bay instead of the beachfront, which can add time to the journey. Allow enough margin to get back to Tonsai for an evening ferry if you are not staying on the island.
Good to Know About the SAii Phi Phi Beach Pass
The SAii Phi Phi Beach Pass is a beach day package rather than a full resort pass, so it suits people who mainly want a sunbed, a good lunch and a quiet stretch of sand. The price is quoted as net, so there is no extra service charge on the pass itself. Hours are 9:00 to 18:00. The resort does not list a separate child rate on the Beach Pass page, so families should confirm pricing for children before arriving. For questions or to reserve ahead, call the resort on +66 75 628 900 or email rsvn.phiphi@saiihotels.com. Walk-ins can simply go to Api Restaurant on arrival. As with any island day trip, check sea conditions and boat times before setting out, especially during the monsoon months.
Fast wifi, power at the tables and space to spread out. Comfortable for a long lunch, a call or a work session.
