Overview

Splash Jungle Water Park is a family-focused water park in Mai Khao, on Phuket's northwest coast just a few minutes from the international airport. It is one of the island's original water parks, built around a mix of thrill slides, a long lazy river, a dedicated splash pool and play areas scaled for younger children, all set inside landscaped tropical grounds. A single day ticket covers unlimited use of every ride for the day, which makes it an easy stop for families staying near Mai Khao, Nai Yang or Bang Tao, or for anyone with a few hours to spare before a flight.

The park is built around a genuine spread of ride intensities rather than a single headline attraction. Thrill-seekers have the Whizzard, the Boomerango and the Super Bowl, while the Lazy River and Splash Pool suit anyone who just wants to float and cool off. Families with young children get their own Aqua Play area and Aqua Spray Park, so a single visit can work for a group with very different ages and comfort levels in the water.

What the Day Pass Includes

A Splash Jungle day ticket gives unlimited access to the whole park for the day: every slide, the wave-free Splash Pool, the Lazy River, and the kids' Aqua Play and Aqua Spray Park zones. Adult tickets (12 years and older) are THB 1,050, and child tickets (5 to 11 years) are THB 750. Infants aged 0 to 4 and seniors aged 65 and older are admitted free. On-site facilities include towel rental, locker rental, changing rooms, an onsite nurse, full lifeguard coverage, cabana rentals for a shaded base for the day, and a retail gift shop, so most of what a family needs for a full day is available without leaving the park.

Splash Jungle Water Park is temporarily closed for park-wide enhancements from 1 June to 30 September 2026, and is scheduled to reopen on 1 October 2026. Tickets for visits after the reopening date can still be booked in advance through the official website. Check splashjungle.com before planning a visit in case the reopening date shifts.

The Rides and Attractions

The ride line-up covers a genuine range. The Whizzard sends riders through enclosed high-speed AquaTubes that spiral through a 360-degree loop before a surprise drop. The Family Raft Ride lets parents and children ride side by side through drops and twisting turns at up to 33 km/h. The Boomerango launches riders through a dark tube and up a vertical wall before a reverse free fall into a splashdown pool, and the Super Bowl uses centrifugal force to carry riders around a giant bowl before the final splashdown. For something calmer, the park's twin Body and Tube Slides are a longtime favourite, and the 335-metre Lazy River winds through the park's landscaped gardens for a slow float rather than an adrenaline hit.

Younger children have their own zone at the Aqua Play and Kids Pool, with smaller slides, giant water bomb cannons and a fantasy-themed kids' area, plus the separate Aqua Spray Park where children can play with interactive water features at their own pace. The Splash Pool and the shaded Spring Pool round out the quieter corners of the park for anyone who just wants to relax between rides.

Location and Getting There

Splash Jungle Water Park is at 65/47 Moo 4, Mai Khao, Amphoe Thalang, Phuket, on the island's northwest coast close to Mai Khao Beach and Phuket International Airport. Its location makes it a genuinely convenient stop either on the way to or from the airport, or as a day trip from the Nai Yang, Bang Tao or Layan area. It sits next to Splash Beach Resort, and the drive from central Phuket Town or Patong takes roughly 40 to 50 minutes.

Good to Know

Proper swimwear is required and no jeans or clothing with metal zippers or rivets is allowed on the rides. Sunscreen is recommended, and pregnant women should not use the rides. Diaper-dependent guests must wear a protective swim diaper, and outside food, drinks and glass containers are not permitted inside the park, though several dining outlets and snack huts are available on site, including a wood-fired pizza oven. Full lifeguard coverage and an onsite nurse are provided throughout the park. Tickets can be booked in advance online through the official Splash Jungle website, and towel and locker rental are available on arrival for anyone who prefers not to bring their own.
