Overview

Thung Song Water Park (สวนน้ำทุ่งสง วอเตอร์พาร์ค) is a long-running local water park on the edge of Thung Song, the busy railway and market town in the inland west of Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The Thung Song Water Park day pass is refreshingly simple: one flat entry fee of 150 THB per person covers every slide, pool and inflatable for the whole day, with no extra charges inside. The park posts that guests can play all day without a time limit until closing, and that tickets do not need to be booked in advance.

This is a family water park built for local weekends rather than a resort pool, so expect shallow pools, colourful slide towers, a big inflatable obstacle course and plenty of school groups and families from across the south. It is one of the few dedicated water parks on the mainland Gulf side of southern Thailand, and a practical stop for anyone driving Highway 41 between Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Trang.

What the Thung Song Water Park Day Pass Includes

The park's official Facebook page lists the current admission terms (posted October 2026):

  • Entry: 150 THB per person, the same price for children and adults.
  • Group offer: come as four and one goes free (pay for three).
  • Free entry for children under 90 cm tall and for visitors over 60.
  • One payment covers all rides and play equipment, with unlimited time until the park closes.
  • Everyone entering the ride area pays the gate fee, including parents who only want to watch from inside.

There is no separate locker or towel package listed, so bring your own towel and a dry bag.

Pools, Slides and Facilities

According to the park, the layout has two main zones:

  • Children's pool with small slides, around 50 cm deep.
  • Main pool with the giant slides, around 100 cm deep.
  • A large floating inflatable course in the main pool, popular with older children and teenagers.

The park says it can host more than 3,000 people and has parking for more than 500 vehicles, so it handles school trips and holiday crowds. Snacks, soft drinks, instant noodles and light bites are sold inside. If you bring your own food, the park asks that it stays on the tables at the front, outside the water play area, to keep the pools clean. There is no accommodation on site.

Lifeguards are on duty, but the park asks parents to supervise their own children closely as well.

Opening Days and What to Wear

The water park opens on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only, from 9:30 to 18:30. Outside school holidays it is closed Monday to Thursday, so plan a weekend visit. During school holidays the page posts a calendar of extra opening dates, so check the latest post before a weekday trip.

Swimwear is fine, but the park also allows T-shirts, shorts, leggings and sportswear in the water. Swimsuits are not available to rent, so come dressed for the pool.

Location and Getting There

The park is at 345 Moo 4, Na Pho subdistrict, Thung Song district, beside Highway 41 just outside Thung Song town. It is roughly an hour and a half by car from Nakhon Si Thammarat city and about two hours from Surat Thani. Thung Song has its own railway junction on the southern line, and from the station a short taxi or songthaew ride gets you to the park. The park shares a Google Maps pin on its Facebook page for drivers.

Good to Know

  • Pay at the gate on arrival. The park says no advance booking is needed.
  • The flat 150 THB fee makes Thung Song Water Park one of the cheapest full-day water park options in southern Thailand.
  • Groups and schools can contact the park for field trip visits.
  • The pools are shallow, which suits younger and less confident swimmers, but the giant slides are best left to older children and adults.
  • Arrive soon after opening on public holiday weekends and during school holidays, which bring the biggest crowds and school groups.
  • Contact: 096 643 3335 or 086 470 1835, LINE @Thungsongwaterpark, or message the official Facebook page.

For a low-cost family day out in inland Nakhon Si Thammarat, the Thung Song Water Park day pass is straightforward value: one ticket, all the slides, and a full day in the water.
