Overview of Yona Floating Beach Club

Yona Floating Beach Club is billed as the world's first floating beach club, a moored multi-level platform anchored at sea off the east coast of Phuket, Thailand. Instead of sitting on a shoreline, the whole venue floats offshore and is reached only by a short shuttle-boat ride from the mainland, which is a large part of its appeal. Spread across three levels, Yona packs in four bars, a sea-view restaurant, a signature 22 metre infinity pool, cabanas, daybeds and private sea beds, all surrounded by open water and long views across the bay. It is a design-led, novelty luxury experience that blends a resort pool day with a boat trip and, later in the day, a party atmosphere with DJs and live shows.

The Day Pass

Yona works on timed day passes rather than casual walk-in entry, with a Morning Package from 9:30 AM to 2 PM and an Afternoon Package from 2 PM to 9:30 PM. On a standard weekday the Day Pass is THB 4,000 per person and a Ladies Pass is THB 2,000, each including the round-trip shuttle boat transfer, a welcome drink, a towel and access to the 22 metre infinity pool, the restaurant and the bars. If you would rather have your own space, the club also books tables and beds on a group minimum-spend basis. On the Beach Club floor a Sea Bed for up to 3 guests is THB 15,000, a Pool Bed for up to 4 is THB 22,000 and a Medium Cabana for up to 6 is THB 36,000. Up on the Sunset Terrace a Pool Sofa for up to 2 is THB 10,000, a Sunset Bed for up to 3 is THB 15,000, a Sunset Sofa for up to 4 is THB 20,000 and a Balcony Sofa for up to 6 is THB 30,000. The Morning Package is the more relaxed, family-friendly slot with a minimum age of 4 and pool access under parental supervision, while the Afternoon Package carries a minimum age of 20, making the afternoon and evening effectively adults-only as it shifts toward a party vibe. Morning and afternoon share the same prices, and rates can rise on weekends, public holidays and special events, so treat these weekday figures as a guide and confirm the exact price and any dining credit on the official booking page when you choose your date and session.

Facilities and Atmosphere

The centrepiece is the 22 metre infinity pool on the main deck, edged with pool beds and looking straight out to the horizon. Around it sit cabanas in a range of sizes for small to large groups, along with private sea beds for sunbathing right above the water. The second-floor sunset terrace is a raised chill zone with sunset sofas and beds and its own smaller lounge pool, positioned for golden-hour views, while the third-floor rooftop delivers a 360 degree panorama across the bay. Food and drink are a core part of the day, with a sea-view restaurant serving Asian and Mediterranean dishes and four bars keeping the drinks flowing. As the afternoon turns to evening the mood lifts from laid-back pool club to party zone, with resident DJs and shows. The combination of open-water setting, multiple pools, tiered decks and a full food and beverage operation is what sets Yona apart from a standard land-based beach club.

Location and Getting There

Yona floats at sea off the east side of Phuket, so there is no beach to walk onto and no street entrance. Every guest reaches the platform by a free shuttle boat that runs roughly every 20 minutes from the departure marina. The departure point is seasonal, according to the venue's own site: in low season (approximately 30 March to 15 November) boats leave from Royal Phuket Marina in Koh Kaew on the island's east coast, and in high season (approximately 16 November to early April) departures move to Patong Pier on the west coast. Because the pier changes with the season, always check the current departure point on the booking confirmation before you travel. Royal Phuket Marina sits about a 20 to 30 minute drive from Phuket International Airport, and Patong is roughly 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. The boat crossing out to the club is short, and the first departures line up with the 9:30 AM opening.

Good to Know

Book in advance online, as this is a reserved-capacity, timed-session venue rather than a turn-up-and-pay spot. Choose the morning slot for a calmer, family-friendly pool day, or the afternoon slot (age 20 and over) for the sunset and party session. The Day Pass and Ladies Pass are per-person tickets, while beds, sofas and cabanas are booked for a group on a minimum-spend basis, so pick whichever suits your party size. Bring swimwear, sun protection and a form of payment for anything beyond your included credit. Allow time to reach the correct seasonal pier, and confirm the current price, any dining credit and any dress code directly on the official booking page or by contacting the club before you go.
