Overview
DOPA Sauna and Wellness Club is a new, design-led wellness club in Bang Tao on the island's northwest coast, and its Day Pass is one of the most complete hot and cold recovery experiences you can book in Phuket. This wellness club day pass in Bang Tao opens up the whole sanctuary for the day: a Himalayan salt sauna, a traditional banya, a steam room, an ice bath, hot and cold onsen pools, a cold plunge, rain bucket showers and a large main pool, with organic food and drinks and a massage menu on hand. DOPA describes itself as a tropical sanctuary for relaxation, recovery and pure indulgence, and the Day Pass is the easiest way to try the full circuit without committing to a membership.
The club is built around a clear rhythm of heat, cold and rest. Everything from the design to the food has been put together with intention, so a visit feels less like a quick spa stop and more like a proper reset. Whether you want a focused sauna and ice bath routine or a slow day of floating in the pool between rounds, this is a place to disconnect and recharge.
What the Wellness Club Day Pass in Bang Tao Includes
The Day Pass is 650 THB as a soft-opening promotion, and the usual price is 790 THB. It covers full access to DOPA's heat and water zones for the day. The heat zone brings together a Himalayan salt sauna, a banya and a steam room, while the water zone runs from a cold plunge and a genuine ice bath through cold and hot onsen pools to the large central swimming pool. Rain bucket showers sit between them for a quick, energising reset.
Because the pass is all day, you can move through the circuit at your own pace and repeat it as many times as you like within opening hours. DOPA also offers monthly and longer memberships from 4,400 THB per month for regulars, and a wellness floor with a full massage menu if you want to add hands-on treatment to your visit. The soft-opening rate makes it an easy first visit, and because the whole circuit is included there are no surprise add-on charges once you are inside.
The Heat, Cold and Water Zones
The heat zone is the heart of DOPA. The Himalayan salt sauna is a powerful dry-heat room reaching up to 100°C, lined with Himalayan salt stones and powered by premium Finnish HARVIA heaters. The banya is a traditional high-humidity sauna, usually heated to between 70 and 90°C, with authentic veniki leaf rituals that stimulate circulation. The steam room uses reverse-osmosis purified water for a clean, soft steam that is sometimes enriched with natural oils and herbs.
The water zone is just as considered. The cold plunge pool is magnesium-filtered and kept at 8 to 10°C, and for the deepest cold there is a true ice bath at around 0 to 1°C. A cold onsen at 16 to 18°C and a hot onsen at 38 to 42°C make it easy to move gradually between temperatures, and the large magnesium-filtered main pool, lined with Sukabumi stone, is ideal for swimming or floating between sessions. It adds up to a full contrast-therapy circuit with more variety than most spas in Phuket.
Location and Getting There
DOPA is on Soi Cherngtalay 6 in Choeng Thale, in the Thalang district on the northwest side of the island. It sits in the Bang Tao and Laguna area, close to Boat Avenue and the beach, and around 20 to 30 minutes from Phuket International Airport. The club is easiest to reach by scooter, taxi or ride-hailing app, with parking nearby.
