Overview

The Kamalaya day pass opens the facilities of one of Asia's best-known wellness resorts to visitors who are not staying overnight. Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary sits on a hillside running down to its own beach at Laem Set on Koh Samui's quiet south coast, and its day pass vouchers start at THB 1,800++ per person for the Wellness Day and Holistic Activity pass. That pass includes the Shakti Fitness Centre overlooking the ocean, group classes from the daily holistic activities calendar, the lap pool, the herbal steam caverns, the hot and cold plunge pools and the beach.

Kamalaya is a destination wellness resort that runs residential wellness, longevity and emotional balance programmes. The day passes are a way to sample that environment for a single day, whether for an active recovery day with classes and the gym or a slower day built around steam, plunge pools and the sea.

Important: the current day pass vouchers on Kamalaya's website show a validity date of 31 October 2026. Prices and options may change after that date, so check the official day pass page before planning a visit in November or later.

What the Day Pass Includes

The base Wellness Day and Holistic Activity voucher (THB 1,800++ per person, per day) includes:

• Access to the Shakti Fitness Centre, which overlooks the ocean
• Access to the group classes on the day's holistic activities calendar
• The lap swimming pool
• Kamalaya beach, with sun loungers, towels and paddleboards (subject to availability)
• The wellness area, with the herbal steam caverns and hot and cold plunge pools
• A hot or cold herbal tea at the wellness lounge
• 10 percent off a la carte spa treatments (excluding visiting practitioners)

Paid holistic activities and special classes are not covered by the day pass and cost extra.

Day Pass Options and Prices

Kamalaya sells five day pass vouchers. All prices are in Thai baht and subject to a 10 percent service charge and 7 percent VAT:

• Wellness Day and Holistic Activity: THB 1,800++ per person (07:00 to 18:00)
• Wellness Day and Alchemy Afternoon High Tea: THB 1,950++ per person, with a wellness high tea set at the Alchemy Tea Lounge and use of the steam caverns, pools, plunge pools and beach (14:00 to 17:00)
• Wellness Day and Healthy Lunch: THB 3,090++, adding a three-course lunch at Amrita Café with one healthy Kamalaya drink (lunch served 12:00 to 16:00)
• Wellness Day and Pilates Reformer Class: THB 3,090++ per person, per class, with a 60-minute group Reformer Pilates class (20 percent off when buying 10 or more classes)
• Wellness Day and Spa: THB 5,300++ per person, with a 60-minute Vital Essence oil massage, Thai massage, or hand and foot massage (08:00 to 18:00)

The day passes can also be bought as gift vouchers.

The Wellness Facilities

The herbal steam caverns are one of Kamalaya's best-known features, and the resort also lists the Arjan Cave among its named facilities. Alongside the caverns are hot and cold plunge pools for contrast bathing. The Shakti Fitness Centre has views over the sea, and the resort's holistic class schedule typically includes yoga, meditation, fitness and pranayama sessions led by its wellness experts. The beach at the bottom of the property is quiet, with loungers and paddleboards for day pass guests when available.

Location and Getting There

Kamalaya is at 102/9 Moo 3, Laem Set Road, Na-Muang, Ko Samui, Surat Thani 84140, on the south coast of the island. It is around 35 to 45 minutes by road from Chaweng and about 15 to 20 minutes from Lamai. A taxi or private driver is the simplest way to get there, as the south coast has limited public transport.

Good to Know

• Booking notice: a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for all day passes.
• Validity: current vouchers are listed as valid until 31 October 2026.
• Age limit: day passes are only available to guests aged 16 and over.
• On arrival: present your pass at the main reception desk. Photocopied passes are not accepted.
• Refunds: day passes are non-refundable, cannot be transferred to another day or person and cannot be replaced if lost.
• Digital detox: Kamalaya asks guests not to use electronic devices in communal areas.
