Overview

The Phuket Wake Park day pass gives you unlimited riding on the park's full-size cable for a whole day for THB 2,150, with basic equipment included. Shorter tickets start at THB 1,000 for one hour, and first-timers can take a THB 2,500 beginner package with a private coaching session. The park sits in Kathu, in the green middle of the island between Phuket Town and Patong, and is one of the few cable wakeboarding venues in Phuket.

Phuket Wake Park describes itself as a complex for sport, leisure and entertainment. Alongside the cable lake there is a shower, a restaurant serving Thai, European and Russian food, wakeboard rental and 28 hotel rooms. It caters to every level, from complete beginners on the training cable to advanced riders hitting the obstacles on the big cable.

Big Cable Prices and the Day Pass

The big cable is the main attraction: a 700 metre cable, 10.5 metres high, running at up to 30 km/h around a lake with 11 obstacles. Current prices on the official website are:

  • 1 hour: THB 1,000
  • 2 hours: THB 1,250
  • 4 hours: THB 1,850
  • All day: THB 2,150

The all-day ticket is effectively the Phuket Wake Park day pass. If you plan to ride for more than four hours, it costs only THB 300 more than the four-hour ticket.

Basic equipment is included in every ticket: a wakeboard (not for obstacles), a life vest and a helmet. Pro boards, bindings and vests are available to rent, with a wakeboard listed at THB 500 and a vest at THB 100. A towel costs THB 60, so bring your own if you prefer.

Beginners, Coaching and the Training Cable

For first-timers, the park recommends the Beginner Package at THB 2,500. It includes 30 minutes of private training with a coach on System 2.0, the smaller training cable, followed by one hour on the big cable, with all equipment included.

System 2.0 can also be booked on its own: THB 900 for 30 minutes, THB 1,500 for 30 minutes with a coach, THB 1,750 for an hour, or THB 2,750 for an hour with a coach. Coaching on the big cable costs THB 1,000 for one lesson, THB 3,800 for four lessons, or THB 7,200 for eight adult lessons.

Kids are well catered for. The Kids Wake School offers individual and group lessons in Russian, English and Thai, and the park runs a five-day kids wake camp at THB 5,600, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 15:00, with equipment, lunch, drinks and snacks included. Wake camps for adults start from THB 1,500 per day.

Booking and Walk-ins

You can walk in for big cable riding without a booking. Booking is required for sessions with a coach and for System 2.0. The park also offers private evening riding after closing by pre-order, from THB 6,000 for 18:00 to 19:00, for groups of 1 to 20 riders.

The park's FAQ mentions a birthday promotion (a free day of riding on the big cable on your birthday) and a 10% discount for groups of up to 10 people. Check the park's social media for current promotions.

Location, Hours and Getting There

Phuket Wake Park is at 86/3 Moo 6, Vichitsongkram Road, Kathu, Phuket 83120. Vichitsongkram Road links Phuket Town with Kathu and the road over the hill to Patong, so the park is easy to reach from either by car, scooter, taxi or Grab.

Opening hours on the official website are Monday 10:00 to 18:00, and Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 to 18:00. The on-site restaurant lists slightly different days on its own page, so if you are planning a weekday visit, confirm with the park first.

Good to Know

  • Bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. A towel can be rented for THB 60.
  • Basic wakeboard, vest and helmet are included in all tickets. The basic board is not for obstacles.
  • Book ahead for coaching, System 2.0 or the beginner package. Big cable riding is walk-in.
  • Contact the park on +66 98 018 9959 or info@phuketwakepark.com.
  • There is an outdoor gym and a sunbathing zone for downtime between sessions.

Is the Phuket Wake Park Day Pass Worth It?

For keen riders, the THB 2,150 Phuket Wake Park day pass is the best value ticket at the park, giving a full day on the big cable with basic gear included. Newcomers are better off starting with the THB 2,500 beginner package, which adds a private lesson on the training cable before an hour on the big cable. Either way, it is a lively, active alternative to a beach or pool day, right in the centre of the island.
