Book the day pass

Overview

The Pullman Phuket Panwa day pass is one of the easiest ways to enjoy a full five-star resort on Cape Panwa without booking a room. Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort sits on a quiet stretch of Panwa Beach at the south-eastern tip of Phuket, wrapped around tropical gardens that run down to the sand. The property is part of the Accor group and carries a genuine five-star rating, so the grounds, pools and dining are kept to a high standard. The day pass hands you the run of the leisure facilities for one day, with a food and beverage credit built into the price so part of what you pay comes straight back as lunch or drinks.

The pass suits a wide range of visitors. Families come for the dedicated children's pool and the kids activities, couples come for the calm beach and pool loungers, and anyone staying elsewhere in Phuket can turn a normal beach day into something more comfortable. Because Cape Panwa is away from the busy west coast, the resort feels relaxed rather than crowded, and the beach here is sheltered and swimmable for much of the year.

Pools, beach and facilities

Access to the resort infinity pools is the centrepiece of the day pass. The pools look out toward the water and there is plenty of shaded and open lounger space around them. Private access to Panwa Beach is included, so you can move between pool and sea as you like across the day. Families get a separate children's pool plus a kids activities area, which keeps younger guests happy while parents relax nearby.

The resort also runs a marine discovery program that guests can join at no extra cost, including sessions about the resident bamboo sharks. For those who want to upgrade their comfort, luxury cabana loungers with poolside service are available for an additional ฿500 for three hours. Water sports are offered on site for an extra charge and are not part of the pass, so activities such as Hobie Wave sailing or kite surfing are billed separately if you choose to add them.

Dining is handled through the ฿500 food and beverage credit that comes with each adult pass. You can spend it across the resort outlets on Thai dishes or international favourites, and the credit has to be used on the same day the pass is redeemed. If you spend more than the credit, the balance is simply added to your bill.

Location and getting there

The resort address is 44/5 Moo 8 Sakdidesh Road, Vichit, Muang, 83000 Phuket. Cape Panwa is roughly a 40 to 50 minute drive from Patong and around 45 minutes to an hour from Phuket International Airport, depending on traffic. Phuket Town is closer, about 20 to 25 minutes away, which makes the resort a comfortable day trip if you are staying in or near the old town.

There is no public rail on the island, so a car, taxi or ride-hailing app is the practical way to arrive. Parking is available on the resort grounds. If you are driving yourself, follow signs for Panwa and Cape Panwa toward the aquarium end of the headland, as the resort sits close to the tip of the cape. Booking your day pass in advance is worth doing because the resort caps the number of passes sold, and you can save up to 15 percent when you book at least seven days ahead.
